What photo should I send?

One photo of the subject on its own, the face sharp and well lit, filling most of the frame. For a pet, head and shoulders looking at the camera; for two people, close together and facing the camera. If something in the photo should not be in the book, say so in the AI touch box before you create the design.

What is on the pages?

400 pages, every one of them in black and white. Each left-hand page carries your subject drawn into a new scene; the black page facing it carries a short line in white capitals. The cover carries your subject and the title you give it.

How big is it?

One size: 11.3 × 14.5 in (28.7 × 36.8 cm), nearly A3, noticeably larger than a standard book. The price is on the product page and in the studio before you pay.

What goes on the cover?

Your title, in white capitals: a name, a place, a year, a word, up to 20 characters. It is the one thing you must type; the design is drawn around it. If it comes back with something you did not ask for, change it and draw it again. It stays free until you approve one.

Can I send it as a gift?

Yes, and most of them leave as one. Put their address at checkout and it goes straight to them, shipping included. For the holidays, checkout shows the estimated delivery date for that address before you pay, so you can see it arrives in time.

How do I look after it?

Keep it flat or standing with support, away from damp and strong direct sun. Wipe the cover with a dry, soft cloth.
