The house

One book, made for one reader at a time. How a photograph of yours becomes four hundred pages in black and white, and what to know before you order.

Three copies of the book stacked on a white marble console under a round brass mirror, the top cover showing the dog portrait and the word VIZSLA
The book open on a dark wood table at a spread with the dog portrait and a line in white capitals, in warm evening light

Why we do it

A book
of one subject

A photograph lives on a phone. A book lives on the table, where people pick it up: the dog, the two of you, the family, the city you walked, the year you turned a number. Each page is drawn from your photograph and from nobody else's. One subject, four hundred pages.

Printed in black and white on a cover of its own, nearly A3 in size, it sits beside the books you already keep out, and it is the one everyone opens first.

Three steps

From the photo
to the table

Upload one photo

Send one photo of your subject and type the title for the cover: a name, a place, a year, a word.

Approve the cover

Tedooo draws the cover and a spread in about a minute, free. Change it and draw it again as often as you like; nothing is printed until you say yes.

We print it and ship it

Printed and bound to order, packed flat and tracked to your door in 18 to 25 days, shipping included.

How we sell

Made to order,
sold on Tedooo

Bookarativa sells through Tedooo. Tedooo takes the payment, tracks the delivery and runs the preview that shows your photo as a cover before anything is printed. You approve the cover; the book is printed to order and shipped to you.

Shipping, returns
and care

Shipping

Printed and bound to order from your approved cover, packed flat and tracked end to end, shipping included. It usually arrives in 18 to 25 days; the estimate for your address is shown before you pay.

Before you buy

Made for one buyer, so it is not returnable. Ask us anything before you buy and we will answer properly, usually the same day. The approved cover is what we print.

Keeping the book

Keep it flat or standing with support, away from damp and strong direct sun. Wipe the cover with a dry, soft cloth; turn the pages from the edge.
