## The house

URL: https://www.bookarativa.com/about

One book, made for one reader at a time. How a photograph of yours becomes four hundred pages in black and white, and what to know before you order.

A photograph lives on a phone. A book lives on the table, where people pick it up: the dog, the two of you, the family, the city you walked, the year you turned a number. Each page is drawn from your photograph and from nobody else's. One subject, four hundred pages.

Printed in black and white on a cover of its own, nearly A3 in size, it sits beside the books you already keep out, and it is the one everyone opens first.

From the photo to the table

Upload one photo: Send one photo of your subject and type the title for the cover: a name, a place, a year, a word.

Approve the cover: Tedooo draws the cover and a spread in about a minute, free. Change it and draw it again as often as you like; nothing is printed until you say yes.

We print it and ship it: Printed and bound to order, packed flat and tracked to your door in 18 to 25 days, shipping included.

Made to order, sold on Tedooo

Bookarativa sells through Tedooo. Tedooo takes the payment, tracks the delivery and runs the preview that shows your photo as a cover before anything is printed. You approve the cover; the book is printed to order and shipped to you.

## Questions

What photo should I send?: One photo of the subject on its own, the face sharp and well lit, filling most of the frame. For a pet, head and shoulders looking at the camera; for two people, close together and facing the camera. If something in the photo should not be in the book, say so in the AI touch box before you create the design.

What is on the pages?: 400 pages, every one of them in black and white. Each left-hand page carries your subject drawn into a new scene; the black page facing it carries a short line in white capitals. The cover carries your subject and the title you give it.

How big is it?: One size: 11.3 × 14.5 in (28.7 × 36.8 cm), nearly A3, noticeably larger than a standard book. The price is on the product page and in the studio before you pay.

What goes on the cover?: Your title, in white capitals: a name, a place, a year, a word, up to 20 characters. It is the one thing you must type; the design is drawn around it. If it comes back with something you did not ask for, change it and draw it again. It stays free until you approve one.

Can I send it as a gift?: Yes, and most of them leave as one. Put their address at checkout and it goes straight to them, shipping included. For the holidays, checkout shows the estimated delivery date for that address before you pay, so you can see it arrives in time.

How do I look after it?: Keep it flat or standing with support, away from damp and strong direct sun. Wipe the cover with a dry, soft cloth.
